The film was released in the United States on November 19, 2004. It was distributed in Switzerland, Spain and Netherlands by Universal Studios. The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie was the second most successful Nickelodeon production, only behind The Rugrats Movie. It stars
[[Tom Kenny]], [[Bill Fagerbakke]], [[Doug Lawrence]], [[Clancy Brown]], Scarlett Johannson, Jeffrey Tambor, Alec Baldwin, [[Rodger Bumpass]], and a cameo appearance by [[David Hasselhoff]].

==Plot==
The film begins with a live action credit sequence, in which a group of pirates retrieve tickets to ''The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie''. The pirates then go into the movies and then the film then cuts to Bikini Bottom, where Mr. Krabs, the owner of popular fast food restaurant, the Krusty Krab, has a problem: a customer ordered a Krabby Patty with cheese, yet no cheese was put on the patty. Suddenly, SpongeBob SquarePants comes to the rescue. He has a brief chat with the customer, and with his briefcase full of gadgets, he takes out a pair of pliers and adds cheese, and the crisis is resolved. The whole scene reveals itself to be SpongeBob's dream.

Meanwhile, Mr. Krabs is preparing to celebrate the grand opening of the "Krusty Krab 2", his new restaurant. Hoping to become the new manager of the Krusty Krab 2, SpongeBob is completely convinced his name will be announced, since he had already been "Employee of the Month" 374 consecutive times.

Meanwhile, Plankton - arch-nemesis and business rival of Mr. Krabs who constantly wants to steal Mr. Krabs' formula of the Krabby Patty, is planning his ultimate plot - the dreaded Plan Z. At the celebration, SpongeBob's co-worker, Squidward, is given the manager title, as Mr. Krabs tells a heartbroken SpongeBob that he is just a kid and is unable to handle the task.

Meanwhile, Plankton arrives at the castle of King Neptune, who is prevented from declaring a ridiculous prison sentence by his intelligent teenage daughter, Princess Mindy. King Neptune is then horrified to discover that his crown is missing, having been stolen by Plankton.
SpongeBob arrives at Goofy Goober's Ice Cream Party Boat, a popular children's restaurant, to brood over his loss. His best friend Patrick arrives and joins him in a Triple Gooberberry Sunrise ice cream-eating spree, and SpongeBob experiences hangover-like symptoms the next morning.

Meanwhile, King Neptune arrives at the Krusty Krab after receiving false evidence that Mr. Krabs had stolen his crown and sent it to the dreaded Shell City. Krabs pleads innocent, and King Neptune asks the crowd of onlookers if Krabs has a thieving nature. SpongeBob then arrives and insults Mr. Krabs out of spite, but after hearing the prospect of Mr. Krabs being executed, he and Patrick agree to travel to Shell City (where Plankton has sold the crown). Before departing, Mr. Krabs is frozen by King Neptune's trident, and Mindy warns the duo about the giant Cyclops guarding Shell City. She also gives SpongeBob and Patrick a magical bag of winds to return home with (a reference to the Odyssey).

With six days to retrieve the crown, SpongeBob and Patrick travel to a gas station next to the county line. There, their hamburger-like vehicle, the [[Patty Wagon]], is quickly stolen by a thug. One long walk later, they find it parked at The Thug Tug, a bar for tough, muscular fish. After an unsuccessful attempt to obtain the car's key, they begin to blow bubbles in the bar bathroom, which is a sign of weakness by the rules of the bar. A fin-fight as to who blew the bubbles results, allowing them to steal the key amidst the confusion and escape.

The following day, Squidward finds out about Plankton's plan and begins to tell on him by talking to King Neptune. Plankton begins controlling the minds of the townspeople through electronic bucket-shaped hats, disguised as free souvenir hats, ultimately taking over Bikini Bottom and re-naming it "Planktopolis." He also sends Dennis, a motorcycle-riding hitman, to eliminate SpongeBob and Patrick. Dennis is clearly an enemy of SpongeBob and Patrick.

SpongeBob and Patrick then obliviously drive into an area littered with piles of skulls and bones. Upon seeing a sign for free ice cream, SpongeBob goes to get some for himself and Patrick, only to discover that the entire stand and the old lady managing it are all part of a frog fish's lure. Spongebob manages to escape it and gets into the Patty Wagon with Patrick, but the frog fish gives chase. At the last minute, upon approaching a monster-filled trench, the duo jump out, leaving the Patty Wagon to be eaten by the frog fish in midair (right above the trench). A few seconds later, a huge eel emerges from the trench and eats the frog fish.

Upon seeing the sheer depth and danger of the trench, though, SpongeBob gives up and accepts that he and Patrick are "just kids". However, Mindy arrives and shows them, via a magic clam, what Plankton has done to Bikini Bottom. When that does not convince them, Mindy gives them fake mustaches in the form of seaweed, convincing them that they are now men. They pass through the trench without fear (singing "Now That We're Men"), and even befriend the various monsters that inhabit the trench. However, they are greeted on the other side by Dennis, who reveals that they are not really men (by ripping off their "mustaches") and is about to kill them (which were Plankton's instructions to "step on them") before being stepped on by a human scuba diver (the Cyclops), who takes SpongeBob and Patrick to the surface.

He takes them to Shell City, which is revealed to be a gift shop that sells knick-knacks made from ocean items such as shells, seahorses, and stars. SpongeBob and Patrick are put through a lethal drying-out process involving a heat lamp, but before dying, they realize that they made it to the crown after all, and shed two tears of joy which together form a droplet in the shape of a heart. As they slowly dry out, they sing the Goofy Goober song one last time, after which they completely dry out. However, the heart droplet slides down to the lamp's wire and short-circuits it, causing smoke to rise and activate the sprinkler system, bring them and all of the fish-made knick-knacks alive, who lead an assault against the Cyclops. The duo takes the crown and flee, but Patrick accidentally opens the bag of winds without holding on to it, and it flies away. However, David Hasselhoff arrives and takes them across the ocean at sonic speed.

However, the cyclops' boot suddenly appears from the water, and brings an angry Dennis along with it. After several minutes of struggling, the angry assassin almost defeats Patrick and SpongeBob before being hit by an upcoming catamaran. Meanwhile, King Neptune has arrived at the Krusty Krab II to execute Mr. Krabs, and has Plankton to watch. As Mindy desperately stalls for time, Spongebob and Patrick arrive over Bikini Bottom, and Hasselhoff opens his pectoral muscles and shoots the heroes into Bikini Bottom, deflecting King Neptune's execution beam with the crown in the knick of time (though burning Hasselhoff in the process though he survives). However, Plankton's hypnotized minions, which include King Neptune after Plankton jams a helmet on his head, attack the heroes, and as they are cornered, SpongeBob makes a speech about how being a kid is okay, as he did all the things everyone thought a kid couldn't do (i.e crossing the desert, defeating Dennis and the Cyclops, and returning the Crown) before pulling out a guitar and playing a rock version of the Goofy Goober song (which resembles the Twisted Sister song I Wanna Rock). SpongeBob destroys the mind-control buckets with the guitar and frees the citizens from Plankton's rule.

In the aftermath, Plankton is arrested, and King Neptune reaches an understanding with his daughter. He unfreezes Mr. Krabs, noting how he should be honored to have "a brave, courageous, and heroic young man" like SpongeBob. Realizing this, Mr. Krabs admits his past mistake and offers SpongeBob the managerial position. Even Squidward is proud of his brave success, in which he gives the manager tag to SpongeBob. After telling Squidward that his fly is open, the porous sponge leaps at the opportunity, and proclaims it to be "the greatest day of [his] life."

During the end credits, pictures are shown of SpongeBob's job as manager, who is seen happily mopping the floors, taking out the trash, sweeping the chimney, and getting a raise from Mr. Krabs (by only one penny).
Following the credits, a theater lady tells the pirates to leave.

==Characters==
*[[SpongeBob]]: A happy yellow sponge who fry cooks at the Krusty Krab and goes to get King Neptune's crown. (Main Protagonist)
*[[Patrick]]: A happy pink starfish who loves to be friends with SpongeBob. (Second main protagonist).
*[[Plankton]]: SpongeBob's arch nemesis. He takes over Bikini Bottom using mind control helmets and is the main antagonist and villian.
*[[Mr. Krabs]]: A greedy but understandable and kind crab who owns the Krusty Krab. He has a minor role, mostly because he was frozen by King Neptune for most of the movie.
*[[Squidward]]: A lazy, grumpy, ugly octopus who orders the food at the Krusty Krab. He has a minor role, and was absent in many scenes.
*[[Dennis (eliminator)]]: A hitman determined to murder everybody in the sea. He was told by Plankton to eliminate SpongeBob and Patrick. He is also the minor antagonist.
*[[Sandy]]: A land squirrel who's friends with SpongeBob and Patrick. Sandy has a very minor role and her home is not seen.
*[[Mrs. Puff]]: A pufferfish who's always losing her temper on SpongeBob. Mrs. Puff has an extremely small role, and only one line.
*[[Gary]]: SpongeBob's pet snail. He was controlled by Plankton to rebuild Planktopolis from Bikini Bottom. Gary has a very minor role in this movie, and only one line.
*[[King Neptune]] and [[Mindy]]: The rulers of the sea. Mindy is kind and not yet the ruler; Neptune is a furious mermaid and father of mindy.
*[[Perch Perkins]]: A commonly seen news reporter, but not a major character.
All other characters have been controlled under Plankton's Evil Plan Z and the Buckets Head Control. Pearl Krabs, the huge whale, daughter of Mr. Krabs, has also been controlled by Plankton because she does not appear anymore after she says the word '''A Goofball?''' and then the movie does not show her again for the rest of it. Larry the Lobster appears, but doesn't have any lines. Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy do not appear in the movie, although there is a poster of them in the beginning of the movie in SpongeBob's house. Sandy, Mrs. Puff, and Pearl all have only one line. Gary has one. Squidward had several lines, and he had a large length of absence between the Mind-Controlled Slaves capturing him to having him fan-waving Plankton to being rescued by SpongeBob at the Krusty Krab 2.

The movie was a box-office success. It earned U.S. dollars $85,417,988 in the United States and $140,161,792 worldwide as of June 18, 2006. It has, as of June 17, 2007, a 70% Critics Tomatometer rating and a 77% Cream of the Crop rating on rottentomatoes.com. It's also the most Highest-Grossing Nickelodeon Movie based on a TV series and beat the record of the
Rugrats Movie. It is one of the only successful films produced by Nickelodeon Movie Productions and Paramount Pictures.

==Slaves of Plankton==

Plankton controlled everyone in Bikini Bottom using mind control bucket helmets. Here is a list of his slaves.

*Larry the Lobster--He is seen becoming a slave. His job was unknown.

*Mrs. Puff--She is also seen becoming a slave.

*Gary the Snail--He is not seen becoming a slave, but is seen working for Plankton with two bucket helmets (one over each eye). His job was to help rebuild Planktopolis.

*Pearl Krabs--She is not seen in the army of slaves or becoming one, but it is deduced that she became one since the only people in Bikini Bottom that didn't become one (besides Karen and Plankton) were Mindy, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, and SpongeBob.

*Perch Perkins--He is not seen becoming one, nor is he in the army, but we did see him getting a bucket helmet from Plankton.

*Sandy--She is not seen becoming a slave, but she is among the army. Her job is unknown, but we did see her running in a hamster wheel. There was a sign by it that read: DO NOT FEED THE SQUIRREL.

*Squidward--He did not get a bucket helmet at first, but when he threatened to turn Plankton in to King Neptune, Plankton got his slaves to capture him. He then became one, and his job was as Plankton's fan-waver.

*King Neptune--He did not become a slave until the end of the movie when Plankton attacked him with a helmet. His job was to kill SpongeBob and Patrick.

==Trivia==
*in other episodes, all he wanted was customers, but here, the pacific ocean (Which he referred to as the world).
*How can Mr.Krabs survive that long frozen and not die? same goes for the ice he was frozen in. it was probably iceberg ice.
*How can Plankton rule the pacific ocean with just a formula?
*All in all, why does the Krabby Patty need a formula in the first place? It's just a burger.

* At the end, SpongeBob says Squidward's fly is down. Squidward does not wear pants.
* This film was originally planned to serve as the series finale of ''[[SpongeBob SquarePants]]'', but in 2005, an unannounced Season 4 was produced due to the success of the film.
* Most of SpongeBob's friends do not have a large role. Gary, Mrs. Puff, Larry the Lobster, and Sandy the Squirrel were brainwashed for a majority of the film and had one line each. Mr. Krabs was frozen for most of the movie, and Squidward had few lines and was much less pessimistic than he was in the series, seemingly taking on a new personality for the film. Also, in an interview, the film mentioned to have Sandy, but she only made two appearances and only one line. Originally, there was a scene that involved Sandy (as a real squirrel) meeting SpongeBob and Patrick on land, but it was scrapped from the film. It can be seen (storyboard-animated) on the DVD of the film as a deleted scene.
*The Replica HMS Bounty was used in the opening sequence in which the pirates were singing the SpongeBob SquarePants theme song.
*If you look closely at Plankton's filing cabinet, you will see one of them say PG the film's rating.
*[[The Best Day Ever]] marathon was parodied by an Ed, Edd n' Eddy marathon called The Best Day Edder.
*Sponebob and Patrick lasted 4 seconds over the county line, not 12.
*This movie takes place in the year 2029(revealed by Stephen Hillenburg), which is proof that the movie takes place after the whole series.
*Since the movie takes place in 2029(20 years away from this year, 2009) the characters with known ages/birthdays are much more older.
*The distance between the two Krusty Krab restaurants keeps changing throughout the movie.
*In the Goofy Goober Nut Bar, the pictures hanging on the wall behind SpongeBob change in every shot.
*SpongeBob puts his shirt and shorts clothing on after his dream, and he is wearing underwear. Then, in front of the mirror, when the back of the shorts falls down, it shows his rear end with no underwear.
*The "Galley Grub" sign in Krusty Krab 2 moves from above the door with a porthole in it, to next to the door with the anchor painted on it, and then totally disappears later.
*After SpongeBob and Patrick receive their "seaweed mustaches" they jump off the edge of the trench. When they figure out that they just jumped off the edge they look down, and directly below, the trench wall is visible with nothing on it. Yet, when they are about to hit the ground there is a branch.
*When SpongeBob wakes up the morning after his ice cream antics at Goofy Goober, there is a table and two chairs by the stage which disappear.
*When SpongeBob and Patrick go to the bar on the way to Shell City, there is a hole in one of the wooden saloon doors which switches to being in the other saloon door when they sneak out.
*In the movie the character's designs look a little different. SpongeBob looks more smoother, Mr. Krabs has a darker color and the jagged parts on his claws are round, Squidward is more pale, and Patrick's dots are bigger, he has circle-shaped eyes, instead of oval-shaped eyes, and it actually looks like he has a neck.
*This was Plankton's only successful attempt to steal the Krabby Patty formula.
*Just before when SpongeBob and Patrick play the Goofy Goober Song how come they were not squashed?
*When Mr. Krabs is destroying his phone when Plankton called him there's two problems: 1. The phone rang once but should've rang more than once. 2. He already broke his phone, so Plankton should stop talking if his phone is crushed.
*Sea creatures can not come to life from sprinklers.
*Also in the same scene, sea horses can not swim in mid-air.
*There is a LEGO Patty Wagon.
*[[Rock Bottom]] also appears in the movie when Spongebob and Patrick fall off the cliff.
*Teardrops cannot turn and join together and make a heart then suddenly stay put there. They also can't turn, they'd go straight down, and spark a plug outlet.
*This is the second time that SpongeBob and Patrick dried up until they're in real life forms due to the heat. The first is [[Tea at the Treedome]] (though SpongeBob kept the clothes while he dried up in the movie).

==Continuity Errors==
*The film begins shortly before SpongeBob wakes up. Seemingly only a few minutes later SpongeBob talks to Patrick, before exclaiming it was 8 o'clock, and quickly made his way towards the second Krusty Krab's opening ceremony. Strangely, when SpongeBob finds out that he is not the manager of the new restaurant, he walks off towards the sunset. Unless the ceremony was much later than 8 o'clock (which would be odd, since SpongeBob claimed he was late for work), the day passed by ''very'' quickly. It is possible that this was just put in to make the scene more sad and dramatizing. A similar error occurs the next day, when SpongeBob says, again, that it is 8 o'clock, and then, at about the same time, Mr. Krabs claims that it is lunch time.
*In the film, [[King Neptune]] looks utterly different than he used to be in [[Neptune's Spatula]]. (The character is also played by a different actor - John O'Hurley played Neptune on the TV series in his one and only appearance.) The reason why was revealed in [[Krusty Towers]]. The Neptune Family Heirs, so this is probably the son of Neptune in Neptune's Spatula or rather that Neptune was portrayed and drawn in a different light, even retconned into a king.
*It is confirmed that the film storyline takes place after all of the episodes. At the end, SpongeBob becomes the manager of the Krusty Krab 2, but, even in the new episodes, the Krusty Krab 2 does not exist and SpongeBob is still a fry cook at the Krusty Krab. Also, in the new episodes, Plankton is still trying to steal the formula, but in the film, he is putting his final plan into play and finally gets the formula. It has been confirmed by [[Stephen Hillenburg]] this was actually the series finale, despite the fact it was released before seasons 4-6. This is likely due to the fact that the show's future was unclear at the time (the movie airing just before the two year hiatus) and so it seemed likely the show was canceled.

==Plot==
While working at the Krusty Krab, SpongeBob notices that Squidward has a huge smile on his face. For some unknown reason, Squidward is always happy on the third Wednesday of every month. Not knowing what to do, SpongeBob runs to Mr. Krabs' office. When the two look out of Mr. Krabs' door, they see Squidward excitedly speaking to Roger, a fellow cephalopod. During the evening, SpongeBob and Patrick are determined to find out what Squidward's "secret Wednesday secret" is. They follow Squidward to a secret society, the Cephalopod Lodge, whose meeting place is shaped like a pyramid.

After providing the secret handshake to the guard, Squidward is allowed inside. SpongeBob and Patrick sneak in soon after. Inside is a large diverse group of cephalopods in fancy robes and headdresses. Everybody is talking together and having a good time. Then a horn sounds and they all gather around the chief to watch a new member being initiated by facing his greatest fear, "Cantankerous Moray Eeleus" (being stung by an eel in a cage). SpongeBob and Patrick watch too. When the chief realizes that SpongeBob and Patrick have seen the initiation, he screams because no outsiders have ever witnessed one before. Once it becomes clear that Squidward was followed to the meeting, Squidward is banned for life and all three are kicked out of the pyramid.

SpongeBob and Patrick try to make it up to Squidward by starting a club called the 'Feather Friends'. In the club they wear chicken costumes. For initiation, each member must be stung by a jellyfish on their tongue. When Squidward does it, he flies high above the sea bottom. SpongeBob and Patrick soon realize that Squidward would like to be a member of the Cephalopod Lodge, not their club. SpongeBob and Patrick devise a plan to hide in a big sock and pretend to be a giant albino eel, scaring the members of the Cephalopod Lodge. Squidward will defeat the eel and be allowed back in the club. Everything goes as planned, but just when the members are going to welcome Squidward back to the club, SpongeBob and Patrick fly out of the sock and congratulate Squidward. The members kick all three of them out again. Finally, SpongeBob tries to cheer Squidward up by remembering the 'Feather Friends': Patrick gets out a jellyfish and it stings Squidward on the tongue. The episode ends with Squidward screaming in pain from the jellyfish sting.

[[SpongeBob]] and [[Patrick]] want to go jellyfishing, but watch the weather report first. They find out a horrible storm is coming, so they board up. [[Squidward]] barges in, and gets stuck inside when the storm hits. Then the play tic-tac-toe, and then a jigsaw puzzle, where patrick struggles to put in the last piece. Squidward has had enough, and decides to play boundaries, where he orders SpongeBob and Patrick to not pass the line. Squidward goes inside SpongeBob's bedroom, and finds he is hungry. He accidentaly eats snail food, and tries to get out to the kitchen, where SpongeBob stops him. Then Squidward, SpongeBob, and Patrick go on a wild chase to get food. Then it quiets down, and Squidward thinks the storm passed over. He opens the door and ends up falling off the house in the sky, becuase a tornado somehow picked up the house.

Patrick was suffering from [[Krabby Patty Withdrawal]], in able to cure Krabby Patty Withdrawal Patrick need to eat a [[Krabby Patty]]. Mr. Krabs offers him lots of Krabby Patties because Patrick said earlier that he could pay for it. After Patrick was finished eating all the patties, Mr. Krabs asks for the payment. Unfortunately, Patrick does not have any money to pay for it. Mr. Krabs is so angry about it that he makes him work for the Krusty Krab. Patrick was first assigned to clean the bathroom, but instead Patrick eats the soap. Then he asks him to put the ice cubes in a barrel, but Patrick breaks the barrel instead. At last, Mr. Krabs asks for Patrick to dump the trash down a machine or else he will never eat Krabby Patties. While Patrick dumps the trash down the trash machine, Mr. Krabs asks SpongeBob to put all of his money into the safe. While SpongeBob heads to the safe he saw Patrick was having trouble with the trash. SpongeBob then shows him how to work it. After all the trash was vaporized Patrick saw SpongeBob carrying a bag which is Mr. Krabs' money. Patrick then threw it down the trash machine and the whole place explodes.

*Mr. Krabs did not teach Patrick how the trash machine works. If he taught him that, SpongeBob would not have needed to go near the machine and his money could have been safe.

==Plot==
The Episode starts with a figure like Plankton opening the safe for the formula inside the Krusty Krab. It is actually Mr. Krabs when SpongeBob turns on the light. Then Squidward comes in says 'Hi', but leaves soon after because Mr. Krabs asked the two employees if they could work on a mission. SpongeBob accepts the mission in a loud manner and soon after, Patrick joins in loudly. Mr. Krabs gives them both a talking [[Krabby Patty]].

Back at SpongeBob's house, SpongeBob and Patrick listen to the mission followed by a self destruct to the patty. To get the Spy Gadgets, they go to the Treedome to get weapons and gadgets from Sandy. She shows them all her gadgets and says that the boys can't use them, but the boys decide to take the gadgets anyway.

They go downtown and check out what Plankton is doing. He enters the shop, Guppies 'R' Us. Nothing is too suspicious. Then Plankton buys a stamp and SpongeBob tells Mr. Krabs all the stuff he has done. Later on, SpongeBob and Patrick are 'Quietly' behind Plankton although he can hear them. Eventually Plankton gets burned because of a microscope burn that SpongeBob used to allow close attention.

Later, at night time, SpongeBob and Patrick are at the Chum Bucket roof trying to get in the 'SPY WAY'. They get caught by Plankton and they get a menu to eat. Patrick needs to go to the toilet and he becomes very tempted to go, until instead of that, the laser gun down his pants fires and destroys the Chum Bucket! Plankton gets out a blimp from under the restaurant and he hovers over the Krusty Krab, making Mr. Krabs thinking that night had come early. Squidward said that it was the time of the month for Plankton to strike again. When Mr. Krabs tells the people to get into their positions, Squidward runs into the Men’s Toilet. Mr. Krabs said that if he wanted customers, he could have them by sucking them trough and cannon and hitting the blimp, causing it to blow up and destroy the restaurant. Plankton then says: "I always win!" SpongeBob replies and says that Plankton never wins. It is then revealed that Plankton was Mr. Krabs, Mr. Krabs was a [[Mr. Krabs (robot)|robot]] and inside was Plankton. The reason was, was that they both had a bet that they could see if Mr. Krabs could [[Krabby Patty Secret Formula|steal his own formula]] being under the name as Plankton!

Then Patrick says, Wait a minute! And he rips off a costume that is revealed to be Squidward, and then SpongeBob questions the real one and rips off his skin! The fake Squidward is then Sandy, then it is SpongeBob. SpongeBob then takes off his disguise and it is Patrick, but it is a joke and they both rip off their costumes and they are back to normal. They all laugh until another Patrick comes in and bewilders SpongeBob.

'''Squidward Quentin Tentacles''' is [[SpongeBob]] and [[Patrick]]'s cranky neighbor. His species is ambiguous, and has been called both a squid and octopus by the series creators. Squidward is bald with light green skin, a big nose, plays the clarinet, and lives in an Easter Island head located between SpongeBob's and Patrick's residences. He works as a cashier at The [[Krusty Krab]], a job he despises. SpongeBob and Patrick consider Squidward their friend, but the feeling is not mutual. Squidward's main rival is [[Squilliam Fancyson]], his former band classmate and the richest squid in Bikini Bottom.

The series animators illustrated Squidward with six tentacles, believing that giving him the
proper number for an octopus (eight) would make him look too burdened.

Squidward Q. Tentacles is a light green/blue color, and has purple suction cups at the end of his tentacles. He has six limbs in total, two being arms and four being legs. Whenever he walks, his suction cups stick to the floor, meaning that he walks with a distinct squelching noise. Squidward has a large baldhead, big droopy nose and yellow eyes with red pupils. He wears a brown short-sleeved shirt, which is sometimes nautical brown-orange.

Squidward is usually portrayed to be a whiny, stick-in-the-mud character, a complete opposite to [[SpongeBob SquarePants]]. He is very egotistical and cannot stand saying sorry to anyone or admitting his mistakes. He considers himself very sophisticated and upper class, and looks down on most other people. Squidward makes jokes to himeself that aren't even funny. Squidward is impatient for most of the time, egotistical and finds everything dull and trivial. However, in some episodes, It shows that Squidward have a rather more wild side. An example of this is in ''[[Squidville]]'', Squidward goes to live in a town with other people who are exactly like him. However, Squidward realizes that he cannot cope with this lifestyle and is shown at the end of the episode to fly away on a reef-blower whilst laughing manically. Also, in ''[[Squid's Day Off]]'' Squidward is shown as very unstable and slightly mad in nature. Although Squidward has a generally dull and uncaring personality, he cannot keep it up constantly and turns hysterical every occasionally, much to SpongeBob's confusion. People usually make jokes about the size of his nose.

Squidward works as the cashier in the Krusty Krab, but he hates his job, largely because he has to work with SpongeBob. He shows no enthusiasm, although he often shares a private joke with his boss, [[Eugene H. Krabs]], about SpongeBob. Squidward is only in his job for the paycheck, however small this may be. He dreams of being a world-famous clarinet player, but has done nothing to achieve this. ==Lifestyle==
Squidward loves art. He has many self-portraits of himself all around his house, but rarely paints anything else. He also plays the [[Clarinet]], which he nicknames "Clarry". He seems to think that he is a talented clarinet player, but really, his songs are usually very out of tune. Squidward also enjoys watching television, listening to the radio, riding his bike and reading. He takes great pleasure from treating and pampering himself, although while he is relaxing, usually SpongeBob interrupts him.

Next to his dream to become a renowned clarinet player, he dreams of having hair, as he is quite sensitive about his baldness (which, due to his egotistical nature, he will not admit). However, in '[[The Original Fry Cook]]', it is revealed that Squidward used to have flowing blond hair. While talking to Jim about life, Squidward said he might possibly lose all his beautiful hair, and when he said it, all of his hair exploded! Squidward soon spent hours trying to find even the tiniest amount of hair.

Squidward lives in an Easter Island head. Unfortunately, for him, his house is located right in between SpongeBob's pineapple and Patrick's rock. Squidward's house has been shown to have the ability to move on several occasions, including when it leans over in order to peek into Patrick's secret box. It also has been shown with two rocky arms protruding from the ground that it puts in its ears when SpongeBob and Patrick are being particularly loud. Squidward also wants to have a lifestyle of being a dancer. In [[Slimy Dancing]], Squidward entered a dance contest but he did not get in so he cheated.

He starts crying and Squidward tries to see if SpongeBob is OK, but he gets no answer. Squidward marches to the door and throws the pizza into the customer's face to make SpongeBob feel better.
*In [[Fools in April (Episode)|Fools in April]], when Squidward plays a mean prank on SpongeBob on April Fools Day, he runs out of the Krusty Krab crying. Squidward makes many attempts to apologize to him, but all of them fail miserably. When he remembers the things said to him earlier, he is forced to apologize to SpongeBob properly.

Squidward reverts to his regular self, but SpongeBob and Patrick share his grouchy traits as well and they all argue with each other.
*In [[Dying For Pie (Episode)|Dying for Pie]], when SpongeBob eats a pie that's actually a bomb that Squidward buys for Employee Brotherhood Day from pirates (even though the rules say you have to make the gift), Mr. Krabs says that he's only got until sunset before the pie/bomb hits his lower intestine, causing him to explode. Squidward tries to call the hospital, but Mr. Krabs says "it won't do any good." He calls the hospital anyway. The person on the phone tells him the same thing Mr. Krabs does. He tries to tell SpongeBob next, but Mr. Krabs says not to, because "that'll only make him feel worse. The lad deserves his final hours." Squidward starts to feel really sorry for SpongeBob, agrees with Mr. Krabs and promises to make SpongeBob's final hours "the best he's ever had." He then declares that "this time, there's gonna be love! So much, he's gonna drown in it!" So Squidward decides to do things with SpongeBob that the sponge has on his list of fun things that he likes to do, one of them being "Watch the sunset with Squidward." Squidward builds a brick wall between him and SpongeBob so he won't get injured by the explosion. The pie/bomb hits SpongeBob's lower intestine and Squidward knows it's only a matter of time before he explodes. SpongeBob likes to count down until the sun sets. He starts with five and leaves Squidward to "do the rest, buddy!" Squidward counts to one, but the sun doesn't set. He tries again, but as the sun sets, day turns to night, and Squidward gets to three, SpongeBob explodes and he cries. He says "at least I was able to make his last few hours meaningful. I am such a good person." Suddenly, a second explosion occurs and the brick wall falls on Squidward. SpongeBob is alive and blowing bomb bubbles. Squidward gets out from under the wall and reveals that SpongeBob's explosion was what he's been waiting for. He also explains the pie/bomb to him because he didn't understand which pie he was talking about. However, the pie/bomb wasn't eaten by SpongeBob, who had been saving it for them to share, meaning Squidward did all that stuff for nothing. However, SpongeBob trips on a rock, causing him to throw the pie/bomb in Squidward's face. Of course, it explodes and the entire town is destroyed.

==Squidward's Schemes to get rid of/away from SpongeBob and/or Patrick==

*In [[Naughty Nautical Neighbors]] Squidward makes SpongeBob and Patrick become enemies, so he thinks there are no problems anymore. Now SpongeBob and Patrick want to be his best friend, so Squidward gets the contrary of his idea.
*In [[Opposite Day]] Squidward is going to move out. However, the controller is going to check, if there are no perturbing neighbors, otherwise, he must not move. So that SpongeBob and Patrick do not disturb the controller, he invents the opposite day, but SpongeBob and Patrick think they are Squidward. As the controller thinks there are three Squidward’s, she refuses the move.
*In [[SB-129]], Squidward wants to play the clarinet without SpongeBob's and Patrick's noise, so he absconds and goes to the Krusty Krab's freezer. Shortly after, he is frozen and unfreezes 2000 years later. He does not want to stay there and with a time machine, he moves in the past and at the end he was in the middle of nowhere and he recognizes he cannot live without SpongeBob and Patrick.
*In [[Squid's Day Off]] Mr. Krabs' arms are "broken", so he gives his job to Squidward. Squidward benefits this chance to be as far as possible from SpongeBob. However, whilst SpongeBob in the Krusty Krab works and Squidward in his house, Squidward thinks of ways SpongeBob will destroy the Krusty Krab, which would get him in trouble.

*In [[SpongeBob vs. Patty Gadget (Episode)|SpongeBob vs. Patty Gadget]] Squidward has a machine which needs no help to prepare Krabby Patties so that SpongeBob will be fired, but SpongeBob defeats it.

We already know that Squidward is too easy to vex and this default brings him to bad situation.
*In [[Employee of the Month]] SpongeBob says Squidward cannot be the Employee of the Month (not directly at the beginning of the episode), so Squidward decides to beat SpongeBob. However, at the end, they become mad, destroys the Krusty Krab and we do not know who became Employee of the Month.
*In [[The Paper]] Squidward gives SpongeBob a small paper. SpongeBob has a lot of fun with it and Squidward become jealous and is vexed. He gives all his chattels to SpongeBob just so that he gets the paper. However, he notices he does not have any fun with it and he does not have anything else.
*In [[Fools in April]] SpongeBob makes April Fools. They get on Squidward's nerves and goes over the top and Squidward makes SpongeBob cry all the way at home. Squidward apologizes at the end.
*In [[Club SpongeBob]] Squidward thinks SpongeBob thinks Squidward cannot be a club's member. As Squidward climbs down apon hearing that he had the wrong impression, and gets annoyed by them again, he unwittingly catapults the entire club in a forest.

Squidward is bald with light green skin, a big nose, plays the clarinet, and lives in an Easter Island head located between SpongeBob's and Patrick's residences. Squidward Q. Tentacles is a light green/blue color, and has purple suction cups at the end of his tentacles. He has six limbs in total, two being arms and four being legs. Whenever he walks, his suction cups stick to the floor, meaning that he walks with a distinct squelching noise. Squidward has a large baldhead, big droopy nose and yellow eyes with red pupils. He wears a brown short-sleeved shirt, which is sometimes nautical brown-orange.

Squidward is usually portrayed to be a whiny, stick-in-the-mud character, a complete opposite to [[SpongeBob SquarePants]]. He is very egotistical and cannot stand saying sorry to anyone or admitting his mistakes. He considers himself very sophisticated and upper class, and looks down on most other people. Squidward makes jokes to himeself that aren't even funny. Squidward is impatient for most of the time, egotistical and finds everything dull and trivial. However, in some episodes, It shows that Squidward have a rather more wild side. An example of this is in ''[[Squidville]]'', Squidward goes to live in a town with other people who are exactly like him. However, Squidward realizes that he cannot cope with this lifestyle and is shown at the end of the episode to fly away on a reef-blower whilst laughing manically. Also, in ''[[Squid's Day Off]]'' Squidward is shown as very unstable and slightly mad in nature. Although Squidward has a generally dull and uncaring personality, he cannot keep it up constantly and turns hysterical every occasionally, much to SpongeBob's confusion. People usually make jokes about the size of his nose.

Squidward works as the cashier in the Krusty Krab, but he hates his job, largely because he has to work with SpongeBob. He shows no enthusiasm, although he often shares a private joke with his boss, [[Eugene H. Krabs]], about SpongeBob. Squidward is only in his job for the paycheck, however small this may be. He dreams of being a world-famous clarinet player, but has done nothing to achieve this. Squidward loves art. He has many self-portraits of himself all around his house, but rarely paints anything else. He also plays the [[Clarinet]], which he nicknames "Clarry". He seems to think that he is a talented clarinet player, but really, his songs are usually very out of tune. Squidward also enjoys watching television, listening to the radio, riding his bike and reading. He takes great pleasure from treating and pampering himself, although while he is relaxing, usually SpongeBob interrupts him.

Next to his dream to become a renowned clarinet player, he dreams of having hair, as he is quite sensitive about his baldness (which, due to his egotistical nature, he will not admit). However, in '[[The Original Fry Cook]]', it is revealed that Squidward used to have flowing blond hair. While talking to Jim about life, Squidward said he might possibly lose all his beautiful hair, and when he said it, all of his hair exploded! Squidward soon spent hours trying to find even the tiniest amount of hair.

Squidward lives in an Easter Island head. Unfortunately, for him, his house is located right in between SpongeBob's pineapple and Patrick's rock. Squidward's house has been shown to have the ability to move on several occasions, including when it leans over in order to peek into Patrick's secret box. It also has been shown with two rocky arms protruding from the ground that it puts in its ears when SpongeBob and Patrick are being particularly loud. Squidward also wants to have a lifestyle of being a dancer. In [[Slimy Dancing]], Squidward entered a dance contest but he did not get in so he cheated.

Squidward starts to feel really sorry for SpongeBob, agrees with Mr. Krabs and promises to make SpongeBob's final hours "the best he's ever had." He then declares that "this time, there's gonna be love! So much, he's gonna drown in it!" So Squidward decides to do things with SpongeBob that the sponge has on his list of fun things that he likes to do, one of them being "Watch the sunset with Squidward." Squidward builds a brick wall between him and SpongeBob so he won't get injured by the explosion. The pie/bomb hits SpongeBob's lower intestine and Squidward knows it's only a matter of time before he explodes. SpongeBob likes to count down until the sun sets. He starts with five and leaves Squidward to "do the rest, buddy!" Squidward counts to one, but the sun doesn't set. He tries again, but as the sun sets, day turns to night, and Squidward gets to three, SpongeBob explodes and he cries. He says "at least I was able to make his last few hours meaningful. I am such a good person." Suddenly, a second explosion occurs and the brick wall falls on Squidward. SpongeBob is alive and blowing bomb bubbles. Squidward gets out from under the wall and reveals that SpongeBob's explosion was what he's been waiting for. He also explains the pie/bomb to him because he didn't understand which pie he was talking about. However, the pie/bomb wasn't eaten by SpongeBob, who had been saving it for them to share, meaning Squidward did all that stuff for nothing. However, SpongeBob trips on a rock, causing him to throw the pie/bomb in Squidward's face. Of course, it explodes and the entire town is destroyed.

[[Spongebob]] and [[Patrick]] want to go jellyfishing, but watch the weather report first. They find out a horrible storm is coming, so they board up. [[Squidward]] barges in, and gets stuck inside when the storm hits. Then the play tic-tac-toe, and then a jigsaw puzzle, where patrick struggles to put in the last piece.Squidward has had enough, and decides to play boundary,where he orders Spongebob and Patrick to not pass the line. Squidward goes inside spongebob's bedroom, and finds he is hungry. He accidentaly eats snail food, and tries to get out to the kitchen, where Spongebob stops him. Then Squidward, Spongebob, and Patrick go on a wild chase to get food. Then it quiets down, and squidward thinks the storm passed over. He opens the door and ends up falling off the house in the sky, becuase a tornado somehow picked up the house.
