==Plot==
SpongeBob gets a new jellyfishing net, and calls it "Ol’ Reliable". The following morning, it turns up missing, and he posts missing jellyfish-net posters all over town with a promise of a reward. He later begins to suspect Patrick of stealing his net, as Patrick had once said recently that he would do anything for a net like Ol’ Reliable. SpongeBob goes through many plans to reveal Patrick as a thief, and eventually sees Patrick carrying a box. He tries to take it by disguising himself as a guy with a mustache interested in purchasing what's inside the box. Patrick says that the contents of the box belong to SpongeBob, and at first SpongeBob believes that his suspicions concerning Patrick's so-called "thievery" are true. Patrick is a bit upset because SpongeBob is framing him. But to his great surprise, it is revealed that the box contains a very special net built by Patrick, especially for SpongeBob. SpongeBob doesn't know what to say. He is torn between gratitude for Patrick's generosity, and guilt for accusing his friend falsely.

Patrick gets upset at SpongeBob for ever suspecting him, and prepares to leave Bikini Bottom. The bus arrives and Patrick is about to climb aboard when SpongeBob grabs hold of him, begging his friend not to go while pleading earnestly for Patrick's forgiveness. The bus driver demands to know what the hold-up is, and when he sees that it is SpongeBob and Patrick, he gives SpongeBob Ol' Reliable, saying he left the net on the bus (again). To make up for his accusations against Patrick, SpongeBob gives Ol' Reliable to his friend, for keeps. Patrick is utterly overwhelmed by this gesture, and immediately decides to forgive SpongeBob for SpongeBob’s thoughtlessness, and stay in Bikini Bottom after all. Everyone on the bus cheers, much to the chagrin of the bus driver, who claims that SpongeBob and Patrick do this kind of thing all the time.
SpongeBob and Patrick then run off to Jellyfish Fields together to enjoy their new nets.

==Plot==
Its Christmas time and Patchy the Pirate is telling the story of how SpongeBob first brought Christmas to Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob is sneaking up to Sandy's tree dome to perform is new karate move, and sees Sandy lighting up her tree to look like a Christmas tree. SpongeBob, mistaking the lights for fire, freaks out and runs in and splashes water on Sandy. An annoyed Sandy realizes that SpongeBob's never seen a Christmas tree. Confused, SpongeBob asks what Christmas is, and Sandy tells SpongeBob about Santa Claus, decorating, giving and receiving presents, and all of that other Christmas etc. SpongeBob hurries to the Krusty Krab afterwards and tells Mr. Krabs, Patrick, and Squidward all about what he's learned. SpongeBob spreads Christmas all over Bikini Bottom, telling how you can write to Santa, and he will give you what you want. Then everyone in Bikini Bottom writes their wish of what they want to Santa, and SpongeBob uses a machine to shoot the letters up to the ocean surface. However, one certain Grinch, Squidward, refuses to take part in this merriment. While everyone decorates and writes letters to Santa, Squidward refuses to believe in Santa and all the Christmas cheer. On Christmas Eve, everyone waits outside singing for Santa, while Squidward goes to sleep. The next morning, Santa never came, and everyone gets mad at SpongeBob for filling their heads with fairy-tales and leaves SpongeBob. SpongeBob, heartbroken, is only made worse when Squidward comes out and makes fun and taunts SpongeBob about Santa. SpongeBob gives Squidward a present that he would've given him so he would not feel left out if Santa came. Squidward unwraps the present to find a carved wooden clarinet, hand-made by SpongeBob. Squidward is touched and feels like a jerk. SpongeBob started to remove the Christmas décor on Squidward's house when he hears, "ho! ho! ho!". Squidward, feeling bad for SpongeBob, appears dressed as Santa Clause. SpongeBob freaks out and gets all excited, Santa tells SpongeBob that he brought Christmas to Bikini Bottom by telling them about it, which makes SpongeBob faint with happiness. Squidward is ready to take the suit off, when all the fish of Bikini Bottom appear, asking for presents. Squidward runs in and out of his house giving all the fish his belongings to make SpongeBob and them happy, and sharing Christmas spirit. When it's all over, Squidward has nothing left and takes off the suit, and SpongeBob appears to him telling him everything he missed, and Squidward pushes SpongeBob away. That's when Squidward finds a note at his doorstep. It's a note from Santa! The note thanks Squidward for helping him spread joy, and tells him he's been a good boy this year. Squidward then looks up to see the real Santa in his sleigh flying out of Bikini Bottom, laughing with joy. Shocked, Squidward just tells himself he's insane, and walks back into his empty house playing his wooden clarinet.

Patrick wished for another piece of paper (as he kept on ripping the paper SpongeBob gave him to write his letter). A female fish wished for a new hairstyle. A kid fish wished for front teeth. An elderly fish wished for a glass of water for his teeth.

==Plot==
SpongeBob is at a diner, late at night. It is a dark and weary day, and the rain is pouring down. A patron is solving a crossword puzzle, and realizes he had lost his pen. A waitress says he can borrow hers, and does. SpongeBob says he once lost something more important than a pen. He once lost his identity.

He recounts the events of last Monday. He wakes up, and throwing his blanket into the air, says "Good morning world, and all who inhabit it!" The blanket falls on him and SpongeBob, not being able to see, falls off his bed and his alarm clock falls on top of his head. He falls down the stairs and the alarm propels him into the window. He feeds Gary, and realizes that he has been feeding Gary snail food for years and doesn't even know what it tastes like. He tastes a little bit, and is horribly disgusted, and his disgust is even heard at the headquarters of the company that makes Gary's snail food. He looks at the clock and realizes that he's late for work, so he quickly gets changed and skips to work.

While he skips to work, he says hello to Patrick Star, says hello to Old Man Jenkins, then places an apple on Mr. Krabs' desk. Then, two guys throw him into the dumpster.

Later, as SpongeBob serves food to a customer, the customer tells him that he should wear a name-tag so that she can thank him in a sophisticated and civil manner. He assures her that he is wearing a name-tag, but then sees nothing but a shirt. He immediately hyperventilates, and tells Squidward that he has lost his name-tag. SpongeBob faints almost immediately. When he wakes up, he asks Squidward what happened. His response is that he fainted because he lost his name-tag. Squidward assures him that his name-tag is not that important, but just as he says that Mr. Krabs informs them that there's a uniform inspection in one hour. Squidward tells SpongeBob that he should retrace his steps.

SpongeBob does, but fails in finding it. Patrick suggests looking in the dumpster, and they go searching there. Patrick finds SpongeBob's name-tag, but it seems to keep disappearing. SpongeBob is confused, but all the mysteries are cleared when Patrick says "At least I don't wear my shirt backwards!" SpongeBob then realizes that he had his name-tag all along, his shirt was just backwards.(He would only check his tie after he wears his clothing.) At the uniform inspection, Mr. Krabs smells SpongeBob and is horribly disgusted. He kicks SpongeBob out of the Krusty Krab.

SpongeBob finishes telling his story, and thanks the waitress for listening, calling her "Betty". She says that her name is not Betty; she just borrowed someone else's uniform while hers is getting cleaned. When SpongeBob learns this, he ends the episode doing a Jack Benny double-take.

*SpongeBob yells to Patrick from his window explaining what should SpongeBob do, [[Squidward's House]] is missing.
*The dumpster is bigger when SpongeBob and Patrick get in.
*When SpongeBob first woke up and went to feed Gary, SpongeBob's TV was on the right side of the window, but when he was putting on his pants the TV was on the left side of the window.
*When SpongeBob and Patrick talk right before SpongeBob starts trying to "retrace his steps", Squidward's house was not there.
*The fish from the Snail Po Company said: "I've felt a strange disturbance" This is a reference to Star Wars Episode 4, when planet Alderan blows up. Obi-Wan Kenobi says he "felt a great disturbance in the force".
*Patrick finds the single of a band named [[Stingray 5000]] is seen in the episode.
*The entire episode (before he realized that his shirt was backwards) you could see that his collar was gone.
*When SpongeBob did his last try of retracing his steps, he skips the part where he tastes Snail Po and skips to the part where he hits the window.
