Tales from the Deep is the fourth SpongeBob DVD. Released on January 28, 2003, it contains 9 episodes from Season 1 and Season 3. The episodes were featured on the VHS releases Bikini Bottom Bash! and Deep Sea Sillies, both of which were released on the same day.

43b		Just One Bite	October 5, 2001	SpongeBob tries to give Squidward a Krabby Patty to eat because he has never had one.
6a		Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy	August 21, 1999	Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy are SpongeBob and Patrick’s favorite heroes. As SpongeBob hears that they are retired, he and Patrick want them to re-become super heroes and they try a lot of things for that.
1c		Tea at the Treedome	May 1, 1999	SpongeBob makes Sandy Cheeks an acquaintance. Sandy wants SpongeBob to come in to her Treedome, but SpongeBob doesn’t know the word "air", and he and Patrick are nearly dried.
16b		The Paper	February 14, 2000	SpongeBob does fun things with a piece of paper, a gum wrapper specifically, that Squidward threw away. Soon, Squidward wants the paper back.
56a		Born Again Krabs	October 4, 2003	After being threatened by the Flying Dutchman, Mr. Krabs starts a new life of generosity by giving everything at the Krusty Krab free.

• This is the first SpongeBob SquarePants DVD without any Season 2 episodes.
  • The majority of episodes included on both Tide and Seek and The Seascape Capers DVDs were Season 2 episodes.
• This is also the first SpongeBob DVD to feature a double-length episode.
• "I Had an Accident" and "Born Again Krabs" debuted as never-before-seen, home video-exclusive episodes on this release and the respective VHS equivalents.
